Great success in the fourteenth edition of the Swimming Tour around Formentera against Cystic Fibrosis. Stages for all tastes, chilly water, good weather, jellyfish, good atmosphere and good music have made possible that this has been one of the best editions of Respiralia history.
228 swimmers coming from Spain, UK, France and Italy have been enjoying a memorable weekend in a wonderful island that welcomes us each year with more enthusiasm.
With the hard work done by volunteers and under the excellent leadership of our sea Coordinator Javier Gutierrez, the stages have been very well received by swimmers. Roughly, category 1 participants have swum up to 17.4 km, the 2nd category up to 15.9 km and category 3 up to 14.8 km.
As usual, great music from our DJ Gus, and for the first time of DJ Arthur, have encouraged the swimmers in preparation for swimming or on their deserved rest back to port.
I want to make special mention of the catering team for their excellent work in preparing both the sandwiches and dinners, especially fideuà.
Sebastian Galiana and Desiree Duran delighted us with their music during dinner on Friday singing, among other songs, “Respira”, composed especially for the Respiralia Foundation by Sebastian. Thank you both for this great work.

At the moment a report of the event, in a documentary format, is being edited with the images recorded in Formentera by Adam, Edu and David.
