Since Mollie-Ann Borrás began the challenge of organizing this event with only 11 years, 8 years later it is consolidated in the agenda of Ciutadella. On this occasion, Mollie-Ann and her sister Becky have had the collaboration of the 3rd grade of High School students of the Calós de Ciutadella School to organize the event, but also to raise awareness among the youngest students with the storytelling about Cystic Fibrosis. This activity is part of the project “Educate is Health in Cystic Fibrosis” that the Respiralia Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Association of the Balearics carry out in the 3 islands.
The event has been developed with the constant threat of rain, although finally it only appeared at the time of the draw, after finishing the 6 km route through the streets of Ciudadela.
The representatives of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of the Balearics and the Respiralia Foundation have taken the opportunity to meet with the Management of the Hospital Mateu Orfila to convey the concern of the families of the island due to the fact that their medical records can not be seen in the computers of the doctors of the Son Espases Hospital, a fact that does not happen in any of the other islands.
