Invited by the Nursing Department of the Manacor Hospital, the Respiralia Foundation and the Balearic Association of Cystic Fibrosis gave a lecture on Autogenic Drainage and the current situation of Cystic Fibrosis in the Balearics.
Mónica Ferrer, a physiotherapist specialized in neural rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy, was responsible for explaining the convenience of the application of the technique of Autogenic Drainage in Cystic Fibrosis and not other techniques. In addition, he stressed the need to incorporate physical exercise re-education into effort within the treatment routine.
On the other hand, Carlos Pons explained the project “Education equals Health in Cystic Fibrosis”, carried out by the Respiralia Foundation since 2016.
