Accepting the disease is the most important thing
Natalia Livesey is a 19 year old girl with Cystic Fibrosis who is very clear about things. From a very young age, her father and mother took it upon themselves to normalize CF in her life, so that she would accept that she has this disease in order to be able to live with it when facing her challenges.
Daily treatment is non-negotiable
When you have already assumed that Cystic Fibrosis will always be with you, you know that your daily treatment is what will allow you to perform other activities, so you have to incorporate the respiratory physiotherapy and physical exercise sessions to your routine. Natalia is very clear that, even if she has a hard working day ahead of her or finishes it late, her morning and evening sessions are sacred.
Chasing dreams living with CF
Dreams are meant to come true, but that always implies an effort. For people who have a disease like Cystic Fibrosis, that effort may have to be greater, but in the end it is worth it. Natalia Livesey knows this very well, who has not allowed having this disease to prevent her from moving to another city to fight for what she has set out to do: to be a professional dancer.
The trip of a lifetime
The Centre de Dansa de Catalunya was her destiny, so after the agreement with her family and in a complicated time due to the Covid-19, she started her journey to Barcelona to pursue her dream. The training received during all these years and the follow-up by the professional team of the Respiralia Group allowed her to face this exciting stage of her life with the necessary confidence to be able to combine CF and the hard daily work that professional dance requires.
