The Respiralia Group celebrates an event to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the Cystic Fibrosis Balearic Association in the auditorium of the Agora Portals International School.
An event that aroused many emotions
The Cystic Fibrosis Balearic Association commemorated its 35th Anniversary in the Auditorium of the Agora Portals International School with a gala that thrilled the audience. It was a very different event to those celebrated for the 25th and 30th anniversaries in the same scenario.
Large institutional representation
The main authorities of the Balearic Islands did not want to miss the event, among them Marga Prohens, President of the Balearic Government; Gabriel Lesenne, President of the Parliament of the Balearic Islands; Manuela García, Minister of Health; Juan Antonio Amengual, Mayor of Calviá; and Pilar Amate, Minister of Economic Promotion and Local Development, among others.
A heartfelt tribute
A tribute was paid to the people with Cystic Fibrosis who, unfortunately, left before their time in these 35 years. They are our particular stars, those who guide us, those who make us not lower our guard and make us do our best every day not to leave anyone behind. Películas Suecas, with the collaboration of Nuria Vich, who contributed her creativity, and Miquel Àngel Lacomba, who accompanied the video with his piano music.
In this link you can see the video of the tribute in its original format.
Aina Zanoguera, a faithful collaborator
After this moving video, Aina Zanoguera, who has been collaborating with us since she was a child, sang the song “Oración del remanso” on the piano, moving the people who listened attentively with her soft voice.
Aina is a Mallorcan singer and actress who works with several companies all over Europe. She also performed in the last edition of the Live for the Arts in Mallorca, New York and Leipzig.
Películas Suecas presents its spot for this anniversary
As it could not be otherwise, Swedish Films did not want to miss the opportunity to surprise us with a spot commemorating this anniversary. In this case, it tells us that there is no need to make up anything to excite us. The results are good enough to thrill and excite the Cystic Fibrosis collective.
An example of tenacity and perseverance
As the spot says, we have achieved great milestones throughout our history, but where they have to be seen is in people with Cystic Fibrosis.
A clear example of these good results is the case of Natalia Livesey, who pursued her dream of being a professional dancer until she achieved it. On this wonderful stage, Natalia performed a piece by Mozart to demonstrate her talent.
The best medicine that exists: laughter
To continue awakening emotions, Jaime Gili delighted the audience with his humor, managing to give the best medicine that exists, that which the medical community cannot prescribe: laughter.
His imitations, jokes and songs created by himself aroused the laughter of an audience devoted to his humor.
Rose of the Sea Award 2023
After this performance, the Rosa del Mar 2023 Award was presented to the company Linde, a partner of the Respiralia Group since 2004.
At the same event, Dr. Amparo Solé received her plaque commemorating the Rosa del Mar award received in 2022.
FQBalear 2024 Award
For the presentation of the FQBalear 2024 Award, a representation of the board of directors, the professional team and the collective of people with Cystic Fibrosis went on stage. Before announcing the name of the awarded person, messages from the closest people were read.
Finally, the name of Monica Ferrer was announced as the winner of this award. She was a physiotherapist and volunteer of the Respiralia Group until fate prevented her from doing so. Even so, Monica continues to maintain ties with the whole group.
Performances by Miquel Àngel Lacomba and Susana Aguiló
Miquel Àngel Lacomba, in addition to accompanying with his music the video tribute to the people with Cystic Fibrosis who have left us, also performed a song of his own on the piano entitled “Illetes”.
Finally, Susana Aguiló closed the event with her song “Whilst Dancing”, whose lyrics invite us not to be so aware of everyday problems and to enjoy every moment as if it were the last.
