Participate with your donation in the repair of the cross infection prevention pump of the physiotherapy center of the Respiralia Foundation.
The Respiralia Foundation has a protocol for the prevention of cross infections among people with Cystic Fibrosis that includes many measures. One of the most important is the heat recovery pump. Its function is to renew the air of the gym, where the physiotherapy cabins are, every 2.5 minutes. With this measure it is possible that the bacteria expelled with the sputum during the respiratory physiotherapy sessions and that may be suspended in the air, immediately leave that space so that the next person with CF who enters the cabin cannot breathe them.
This measure is important because, although Cystic Fibrosis is not a contagious disease, when a person with the disease has a bacterium in their body and interacts with another person with CF, this bacterium can pass into the body of the other person, putting risk his/her already deteriorated health.
This machine is located on the ceiling of the gym and only covers this room, which is where the treatments are performed. Being so large, the narrow distance between the suspended ceiling and the machine makes access to the machine logs very complicated in order to perform good maintenance and repairs. It is necessary, therefore, to reform the structure of the false ceiling (lower it and change the distribution of the plates) to be able to have better access to the different registers of the machine when changing filters and making repairs.
The budget is € 5,000.00, so we have created this crowdfunding action so that interested people can help us.

This project has been selected among the 6 best in Spain for the #DKVGiving Tuesday campaign, whereby if we get a minimum of € 2,000.00, DKV Seguros will donate another € 2,000.00 to the project. Can you help us get it?
