Eroski’s “Mide sonrisas” campaign raises 45,500 € for 13 projects to help children

This morning, at Eroski Center at Aragón 206 (Palma), the donations collected were handed over in a ceremony attended by 2 representatives of the 13 beneficiary children’s associations, together with Alfredo Herráez and Xisca Pol, director of Eroski in the Balearic Islands and head of communication and marketing respectively.
Contribute to defraying the costs of the reception apartments that facilitate treatment in Palma for children with cancer displaced from other towns (ASPANOB); improve the emotional competencies and personal and social well-being of people with multiple sclerosis (ABDEM); 40 functional supports from the professionals of Nemo Foundation throughout 2021 in disciplines such as speech therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and neuropsychology; 116 sessions of the program “Educate equals health in Cystic Fibrosis” of the Respiralia Foundation; acquisition of 2 sensory carts that will allow to work on the stimulation of children with cerebral palsy of ASPACE Fundació. These are some of the 13 projects to which the donations that the “Mide Sonrisas” campaign has obtained thanks to the solidarity of Eroski’s customers in our islands will go.
José Antonio Rodado from ASPACE and Malú Llompart from Dentistas Sobre Ruedas have been the 2 representatives of the 13 beneficiary organizations that have attended the delivery, an assistance limited by the health crisis. Both have explained their projects and have thanked Eroski for this new edition of the campaign, which will contribute to improve the lives of many children with health problems in our islands. All the other beneficiary organizations have expressed their gratitude and their firm desire to be able to attend this event in the next edition, with no limitation of capacity.
For his part, Alfredo Herráez expressed Eroski’s satisfaction at being able to collaborate one more year with these organizations and highlighted both the work of the associations and the great solidarity of the customers of this cooperative in the Balearic Islands, especially in such a complicated year, as well as the work of the cashier staff in the stores.
ABAIMAR, ABDEM, ACCAB, ADIBA, ASNIMO, ASPACE, ASPANOB, CENTRE MATER MISERICORDIAE, DISFAM, NEMO FOUNDATION, RESPIRALIA FOUNDATION, PROYECTO JUNTOS and DENTISTAS SOBRE RUEDAS are the 13 entities that benefited from the full proceeds of the campaign, which have obtained 3,500 euros each.
