Thanks to the efforts of Darren Dunlop, the idea of running long distances in solidarity is reflected in the organization of this event. Continuing with the spirit of the Respiralia events, this third Ultra Marathon will be run in a circuit of 5 km in Palma de Mallorca and in relay teams, non-competitive and in which the only objective will be that each team complete the 80 km of the challenge. There will be no minimum number of participants per team, so if a person wants to run the 80 km, he/she will be able to do it. The maximum number of runners per team will be 16, as 5 km is the minimum distance to run. If you don’t have any team, don’t worry, we will assign one to you.
In addition to the race, we make a recreation area for children with a bouncy castle and a mini soccer field. Finally, if children do not dare to run 5 km at the Ultra Marathon, they will have the chance to run in a race about 800 m of distance, being the start at 12 a.m. In this race these children will have to run a with one responsible person beside.
The II Tolo Calafat Trophy will be delivered to the runner who run the longest relay.
The first 700 participants will receive a technical T-shirt of the event thanks to DKV Seguros.
The Organization will show the time used by the runners who presented the inscription form before September 25. These results will be shown at the Élitechip website (www.elitechip.net) and at the Respiralia website (www.respiralia.org) during the next days of the challenge.
As we did in the past, we will launch the solidarity card with which participants can find their own sponsors. Its operation is very simple. People can bet any amount of money to the run of their sponsored runner.
