Maioris Decima beach (Llucmajor) held the recording of the talk among the world runner-up of apnea, Miguel Lozano, with our children and young people with Cystic Fibrosis for the Documentary film “Aire”, by Ricardo Iscar.
Miguel Lozano, a professional freediver who has reached 122 meters depth without oxygen, told us about the breathing exercises he performs to improve the flexibility of the muscles of the rib cage that help him to reduce the volume of residual air in his lungs and of the benefits that these ones can offer on a physical and mental level.
Ricardo Íscar, director of the documentary “Aire”, proposed the idea of posing in front of the camera these two opposite poles: the one that does not breathe because he wants it (apneist) and those who do not breathe well because a disease does not allow it. During the talk, Miguel asked our children how their day-to-day life was and how Cystic Fibrosis affected them to understand their limitations at the pulmonary level.
It was a very interesting experience that will help us to deal with our doctors and physiotherapists the possibility of applying certain exercises to improve the flexibility of the muscles of the rib cage.
