On Saturday, May 31, the Respiralia Group, in collaboration with Grupo Piñero and Asociación de Voluntariado de CaixaBank, carried out a clean-up of Magaluf beach, in line with its commitment to environmental sustainability.

Promoting environmental sustainability
Grupo Piñero and Grupo Respiralia share the objective of promoting environmental sustainability, either by planting trees or cleaning beaches, among other measures.
With the collaboration of the CaixaBank Volunteer Association, we have created a powerful group to carry out this type of actions.
The “Basuraleza”
The LIBERA Project, created by SEO/BirdLife in partnership with Ecoembes to raise awareness and mobilize citizens to keep natural areas free of garbage, created a new word to define the garbage we leave in nature: Basuraleza.
The Respiralia Group uses this tool to measure the collection of “Basuraleza” on beaches.
Cleaning results
Highlights include:
- Saved water: 502,7 liters
- Saved electricity: 11,7 Kwh
- Avoided CO2 emissions: 1.5 kg
