Improving the quality of life of people with Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic Fibrosis is a degenerative disease that cannot be cured. However, if a person correctly performs the treatments and applies healthy lifestyle habits, it is likely that he/she will be able to keep it under control and have a better quality of life.
Therefore, it is necessary that the users of the “Educate is Health in Cystic Fibrosis” program have the necessary knowledge to be able to carry out the treatment sessions efficiently and productively at home.
Physiotherapy and physical exercise as a central axis
Respiratory physiotherapy, and more specifically the technique of Autogenous Drainage, and physical exercise, understood as an endurance training program, are the axes on which this project is developed.
In order to develop it, the co-responsibility of the user is required, that is to say, that he/she is obliged to perform the tasks entrusted by the professional team. Without their full involvement, Cystic Fibrosis gains ground and becomes uncontrollable.
Promotion of healthy habits
This project also includes activities in educational centers so that the new generations learn healthy habits and incorporate them into their daily routine.
