Lyric charity concert in Menorca

The concert consisted of two parts, a first part of Neapolitan song and a second part of zarzuela duets. The artists who put their voice and affection for this good cause completely altruistic, left all the audience enchanted. It featured the round and well imposts voices of sopranos Elena Carreras and M ª José Sosa, mezzo-soprano Victoria Riera, tenor Jaume Olives and bass baritone Joan Caules. Marlen Coll, in the artistic direction and piano, was very important.

Contained breathing, excitement and applause followed each performance during the concert. The chosen repertoire was very pleasant and reached its peak with the “O sole mio” by Eduardo di Capua, sung by all the artists. Zarzuela duets put the icing on the second part, leaving more than 150 people with a smile on their faces, including the Mayor of Mahon, Àgueda Reynes, who attended the event.

The Respiralia Foundation will use all the money raised for the respiratory therapy program, in order that the 60 children and young people diagnosed in the islands continue to receive at least one physical therapy session each week.
