Teresa Llull, president of the Respiralia Foundation and a driving force behind the fight against cystic fibrosis, received the 2026 ONCE Solidarity Award in recognition of her more than 37-year career championing the interests of people with cystic fibrosis and those with other disabilities.
A whole career dedicated to helping others
Ever since her grandson was diagnosed, Teresa stepped up and joined the Balearic Cystic Fibrosis Association, where she would soon take on roles on its Board of Directors. Since then, she has represented our community through the Spanish Cystic Fibrosis Federation and other groups of people with disabilities via the Balearic Federation of People with Disabilities.
Many milestones achieved
Thanks to his efforts, the cystic fibrosis community secured its own National Day, the introduction of neonatal screening in the Balearic Islands, the replacement of the CR-60 nebuliser with the e-Flow Rapid, unique and pioneering facilities, and the production of the first feature-length documentary on cystic fibrosis, amongst other achievements.
