On the World Cystic Fibrosis Day, the Respiralia Foundation and the Cystic Fibrosis Association of the Balearics presented on Friday, September 8th the “Respiralio and the Big Blue Bear” tale, aimed at children between 6 and 9 years of age, and expressed our requests to the Public Administration.
The Barceló Foundation hosted the event to present our new publication “Respiralio and the Big Blue Bear”. It is an educational tale with which we intend to teach the knowledge of Cystic Fibrosis to the youngest through a storytellers in the classrooms of educational centers. The objective is to fight against discrimination in the classrooms due to illness and, thus, to create a more inclusive and solidarity generation with those who have some special characteristic. These storytellers will be held in all educational centers that request it.
This story has been published within the program “Educate equals Health in Cystic Fibrosis”, sponsored by the Barceló Foundation and funded by the Banco de Santander Foundation.
The Welfare and Cooperation Minister (Fina Santiago), the Innovation and Educative Community General Director (Jaume Ribas), the Barceló Foundation Director (Rafael Torra), the Banco Santander Institutional Director in the Balearics (Tomeu Canals), the author of the tale (Paz Arizti), its illustrator (Juan Roig from Verbigrafía) and some directors and teachers of some educative centers.
