EHIB haute cuisine students create their own creations
The School of Hotel Management of the Balearic Islands (EHIB) has been collaborating for years with the Respiralia Group. The students of the haute cuisine course create dishes so that people with Cystic Fibrosis have more variety when it comes to eating healthy and, in some cases, with high calorie dishes.
Recipes for 2025
Among the savory dishes of this edition, we find the following:
- Whole wheat toast with avocado, sardines, kimchi and dried fruits
- Oatmeal pancakes with salmon, guacamole and yogurt
- Salmon Wellington
- Mini hamburgers of legumes
As a sweet dish, we have:
- Avocado, coconut and chocolate ice lollies
The influence of Kaftrio in the diet of people with Cystic Fibrosis
Kaftrio has come to change the paradigm of Cystic Fibrosis. With this new modulator, many of the people with Cystic Fibrosis who had to follow a hypercaloric diet already have a more normal digestion, so they must switch to a diet with fewer calories.
However, people who cannot take Kaftrio should continue to take hypercaloric diets that allow them to develop normally.
Thanks to the collaboration of the EHIB, people with Cystic Fibrosis and their families have more resources to adapt their diet.
