The Respiralia Foundation and Red Eléctrica de España have signed this morning an agreement that renews the collaboration started between the two parties in 2019. The agreement, signed by María Teresa Llull Martí, president of the Respiralia Foundation, and Eduardo Maynau, regional delegate of REE in the Balearic Islands, gives way to the support and participation of the company at the Respiralia 2020 event “Corona-Tour around Formentera against Cystic Fibrosis”.
Given the situation created by the state of alarm decreed before the pandemic by COVID-19 and the impossibility of organizing the Swimming Tour around Formentera against Cystic Fibrosis in 2020, the Respiralia Foundation has chosen not to surrender and respond to so many swimmers, volunteers, family members and collaborating companies that support this charity event year after year.
This year’s edition includes the registration of selected participants among those who have donated a minimum of € 60.00 in the campaign “Can you help me breathe?” and the publication on social networks of videos and photos that will be received with positive messages. In addition, the celebration of a Virtual Escape Room, in which, thanks to the story starring a girl with Cystic Fibrosis, scenarios will be replicated, experiences and the great moments of the event will be relived in past editions. Also, the production of an institutional video that will be streamed through the YouTube Live channel, with live performances by Jah Chango and the DHI group and interviews with participants, sponsors, volunteers and people known on the national scene such as Sergi Bruguera or Irene Junquera.

The collaboration of Red Eléctrica, which will be present at the institutional video, is part of the company’s 2030 sustainability commitment.
In this way, it renews the collaboration signed in 2019 with the Respiralia Foundation in difficult times and joins its efforts in favor of improving the quality of life of people with Cystic Fibrosis and greater social awareness.
Red Eléctrica is currently promoting projects of special importance for the whole of the Balearic Islands and Pitiusas in the energy transition process, thus the project of a new electrical link between Ibiza and Formentera.
