On Saturday, March 26, Juan Carlos Fernández gave us a lecture about how to interpret the data that we get after the medical test called spirometry.
The conference was divided into two parts. He first explained the different parameters that can be obtained after the spirometry and its meaning. In the second part, Juan Carlos showed us in which information displayed on a spirometry report we should look at, what was the natural evolution of these data in cystic fibrosis and how to recognize in which stage of the disease was our lung capacity. For this second part, Juan Carlos used to spirometry reports from the Son Dureta Hospital, anonymous but real, of a boy under 18 years old and of a youngster above 18.
