On Wednesday, October 10, Respiralio went to Santa Monica School to make students of 3rd grade aware about Cystic Fibrosis through the tale “Respiralio and the Big Blue Bear”. The project “Education equals Health in Cystic Fibrosis” includes the spreading of this serious and incurable disease to all society, specially to the youngest. Three objectives are pursued:
- Spreading Cystic Fibrosis: Our pet “Respiralio” tells his adventures while teaching the symptoms and treatment of the disease in a very funny way through the tale “Respiralia and the Big Blue Bear”.
- Preventing the transmission of contagious diseases through the hands: students are taught how to cough in a correct way, changing the habit of coughing to the hand to coughing to the inner part of the elbow, and to wash their hands properly.
- Eradicating the discrimination due to illness at the school rooms: students are taught about how to live with person who have some kind of limitation, be it illness, injury or disability..
