93 Balearic entities, including the Respiralia Foundation, received grants from donations of 50% of the interests of customers of Savings Ethics (Estalvi ETIC) in 2013.
On April 11, at the Lawyers Balearic Association facilities, the ceremony of delivery of grants of Colonya Caixa Pollensa was performed. The event was attended by the President of Colonya, Josep A. Cifre, Ethics Committee members and representatives of the 93 beneficiary organizations.
During the ceremony, the solidarity work that is done through the ethical banking was emphasized. Customers of the bank are actively involved in joint action to help organizations which work for social cohesion and sustainable development by donating part of benefits. During 2013 the Ethical Savings of Colonya has increased 45%, reaching €184,000, so the ethics committee decided to award 93 grants to various organizations, including the Respiralia Foundation with €1,200.
Ethic Savings allows Colonya Caixa Pollensa clients to be solidary and know that their saving has a social utility and invested with ethic criteria.
