On the 24th and 26th of October, the 2nd year students of the Physical Therapy Degree in the Physiotherapy Basics Course under the supervision of Mónica Ferrer, Associate professor of the UIB and physiotherapist of the Cystic Fibrosis Association of the Balearics and the Respiralia Foundation, were able to learn the role and importance of Associations in the context of Physiotherapy.
The physiotherapist Mónica Ferrer, with the collaboration of Paz Arizti, member of the Balearic Association of Cystic Fibrosis and mother of a young man with this disease, approached the associations of people with diseases to the future physiotherapists of the Balearic Islands. They discussed what these entities are and what role they play for families and society. Likewise, the case of the Balearic Association of Cystic Fibrosis and the Respiralia Foundation came up as an example of associative activity.
