More than a hundred people walked in the V edition of the solidarity walk against Cystic Fibrosis and together breathed beside Mollie-Ann, a young woman from Ciudadela who has the disease.
Bajo el lema #caminayrespira, la V edición de la Caminata solidaria contra la Fibrosis Quística congregó a más de un centenar de personas que se unieron a este evento para recorrer 6 kilómetros por las calles de Ciudadela. El evento, organizado desde hace 5 años por las hermanas Mollie-Ann y Becky Borràs, volvió a concienciar a la sociedad menorquina sobre esta enfermedad y recaudó más de 4.000,00 € para mejorar la calidad de vida de los niños y jóvenes con Fibrosis Quística de la Fundación Respiralia en Menorca.
Under the motto #caminayrespira, the V edition of the Solidarity walk against Cystic Fibrosis gathered more than a hundred people who joined this event to run 6 km along the streets of Ciudadela. The event, organized for 5 years by Mollie Ann and Becky Borràs sisters, raised Minorcan society awareness about this disease and collected more than € 4,000.00 to improve the quality of life of children and young people with Cystic Fibrosis of the Respiralia Foundation in Menorca.
The Minister of Social and Family Welfare, Maria Cabrises, was the person in charge of giving out the walk, which was also attended by councilors Joan Salord and Georgina Davila.
Prior to the start of the walk, the Councillor for Social Care, Cooperation and Equality of the City of Ciudadela, Carolina Cerda, and the President of the Respiralia Foundation, Teresa Llull, handed over a plaque to the Borràs sisters in recognition of his initiative, effort and solidarity in the organization of all editions of the walk.
At the end of the tour there was a draw thanks to the contributions of Viatges Magon, Shoes Ponti, Artiem Audax Hotels and Port Ciudadela, Bakery Can Diaz and Maribel and Cool by Rei d’Or stores, which donated a weekend stay, children’s shoes, spa vouchers, etc.

The day was marked by good weather, a relaxed atmosphere and a great spirit of solidarity. The Borràs sisters announced they are already preparing the next edition with great enthusiasm.
