Vertex Pharmaceuticals laboratories joins the Corona-Tour around Formentera against Cystic Fibrosis as sponsor of the event.
Vertex Pharmaceuticals is a company dedicated primarily to researching the cure for Cystic Fibrosis, having already discovered several medications that attack the root of the problem and not the symptoms.
Kalydeco, Orkambi and Symkevi are already being supplied to people with Cystic Fibrosis who have the appropriate mutations for each of them. The new molecule called Trikafta is already being used as a medicine for compassionate use by several people with Cystic Fibrosis in Spain and, hopefully, it will soon be widely available.
