Great support for people with Cystic Fibrosis
The group of people with Cystic Fibrosis who will participate in our popular race XIII Solidarity Kilometers against Cystic Fibrosis on Sunday, September 25 have prepared during the year to be able to face this challenge.
This sponsorship, together with the rest of the companies that also support, means a great contribution of energy so that they can fulfill their expectations.
Difficulties of a person with Cystic Fibrosis
As in recent years, we expect high temperatures on the morning of Sunday, September 25. This means that the people who participate will make their effort under an intense sun that will make them sweat a lot.
Cystic Fibrosis affects the sweat glands, through which many minerals are lost. In conditions of high heat and high humidity as expected, people with this disease are demineralized and dehydrated more than other people, so their effort is greater than in other conditions.
Kaftrio and kilometers of hope
The drug Kaftrio has been a turning point for people with Cystic Fibrosis who can take it.
A good number of people with CF over the age of 12 who will participate in the race will do so having taken this medication for several months. Its influence is such that all of them have set themselves greater challenges than in previous years, from feeling strong enough to participate for the first time to increasing the number of kilometers.
The Logitravel team stands in solidarity with people with CF
The company Viajes El Corte Inglés – Logitravel will be well represented in the race, as several members of its staff will participate to show solidarity with the people with Cystic Fibrosis who will be running alongside them.
In this way, the company’s CSR action is reinforced by the support of its personnel for the cause that management considers worthy of financial support.
