New edition of our popular race. The Respiralia Group presents the event XVI Solidarity Kilometers against Cystic Fibrosis, to be held on Sunday September 28. Save the date!
An inclusive, non-competitive challenge
As in all the events organized by the Respiralia Group, anyone can participate in this event walking or running.
You can come alone, with your family, or as a team, with a baby stroller, pushing a wheelchair, rollerblading alongside the rest of the family, etc. Everyone is welcome.
The route
We will start from the beginning of the promenade of Es Molinar (in front of Es Vaixell Cafe), reaching the intersection of Del Congre and De l’Oblada streets (Can Pastilla). going along the Bay of Palma. The route, from start to finish and back, is 10 km, with a turning point at KM 2.5 for those who only want to run 5 km.
Depending on the registration, 5, 10, 15 and 20 km can be run as long as the finish line is crossed before 12:00 pm.
Create your group and participate with your family or friends
This race is designed for everyone. The beauty of it is sharing it with your loved ones, so we encourage you to create a group and enjoy it with your family or friends. The largest group will receive a certificate of recognition for their solidarity with children and young people with cystic fibrosis.
Registration
Online registrations can be made until Friday, September 26th at 23:59. Those who wish to do so may register on the day of the race at the table set up for this purpose, with an extra fee of €2.00 per person.
Registrations include t-shirt (until end of stock), accident insurance and refreshments. There will be 700 t-shirts available for pick up by appointment by sending an email to administracion@respiralia.org.
It will be possible to pick up the reserved T-shirt and bib the week of September 22nd to 26th at our offices (C/ Dinamarca, 9 – San Agustín, Palma), by appointment. In case the reservation is made and it is not picked up, this t-shirt can be given to another participant on the day of the race.
Registration fees
- 5 KM: €10.00
- 10 – 15 KM: €15.00
- 20 KM: €20.00
- Family fee (minimum 4 members of the same family unit): €30.00
Schedule
The first start will be at 09:30, for those people who want to run distances from 10 to 20 km. At 10:00 am we will launch the official start with authorities. Then, there will be starts every 15 minutes to avoid crowds of people, being at 11:15 am the last one.
Line Dancing with Cata Iglesias
From 11:00 to 11:45, Cata Iglesias will be leading us in line dancing to liven up the wait until the children’s races.
Children’s races
The children’s races will start at 12:00 am. The start will be at the start/finish arch installed for the main race, in front of Es Vaixell Cafe, in a circuit of approximately 250 meters. The race for children from 0 to 5 years old will be 1 lap around the course; the 6 to 7 years old will be 2 laps around the course; and the 8 to 10 years old will be 3 laps around the course.
Children’s races fees
- Up to 5 years old: €2.00 (T-shirts not included due to lack of sizes)
- From 6 to 10 years old: €5.00 € (includes T-shirt as stated in the “Registration” section) or €2.00 (T-shirt not included)
Do you know a soulful company that wants to collaborate?
We are looking for companies with soul that want to collaborate by sponsoring the efforts of people with CF who will participate in the event, contributing a voluntary amount of money for the kilometers they will run.
Joanet, the boy you can see in the picture, is 8 years old and has Cystic Fibrosis. He has been making a big effort to run the 5 km course for a few years now. As he did last year he wants to be one of the visible faces to help raise funds to finance the services he and the rest of the people with Cystic Fibrosis receive.

Can a supporter also sponsor?
Of course. Any person or company that would like to collaborate by sponsoring the efforts of the people with Cystic Fibrosis who will participate in the event can do so.
Send your donation by any of the ways we suggest below and, VERY IMPORTANT, send us an email to fundacio@respiralia.org with your tax information and the receipt so that we can notify the Treasury and you can deduct 80% of the first €250.00 and 35% of the rest of the amount, according to current regulations.
