Thanks to the donation from Dogstars Operations and its CEO Peter Bryant, who passed away in 2022, the Respiralia Group is studying more Cystic Fibrosis research projects to support financially.
Peter Bryant, a philanthropic entrepreneur

Thanks to his family involvement with Cystic Fibrosis, businessman Peter Bryant, left his intention to collaborate with Cystic Fibrosis research projects after his death.
Its link with Mallorca made the Respiralia Foundation the recipient of the donation of 300,000.00 €, received on December 30, 2022, and 326,896.00 €. Thus, the Board of Trustees of the Respiralia Foundation has the responsibility to choose, with the support of the Board of Directors of the Cystic Fibrosis Balearic Association, those research projects that may be more interesting for our collective.
Projects supported in 2023
Last year, two research projects were selected. The first was phage therapy research, creating the Spin-Off Evolving Therapeutics in collaboration with the University of Valencia and Drs. Pilar and María Luisa Domingo-Calap.
Both doctors are specialists in virology, one in human and animal health and the other in plant health, which is why Evolving Therapeutics offers One Health solutions.
The second project is stem cell research to combat inflammation in respiratory diseases. This project is led by Andreas Jahn and Carlos Río, from the company Stem Cell Lab, and supported by the Association of Pneumologists of Mallorca.
2024, a year of searching for more projects
The Respiralia Foundation is looking for research projects that have a translation to society in the short or medium term.
