The Respiralia Group presents the song “La maleta de Respiralio” and its video clip as a complement to the storytelling “Respiralio y el Gran Oso Azul” that takes place in schools.
Presentation at the headquarters of the Barceló Foundation
Last Friday, April 4, the Respiralia Group presented the song “La maleta de Respiralio” at the headquarters of the Barceló Foundation, with the presence of Joan Muntaner (author of the song); the General Director of Early Childhood, Attention to Diversity and Educational Improvement, Neus Riera; the Deputy Director of Humanization, User Care and Training of IB-Salut, Gabriel Rojo; as well as representatives of schools and the Federation of Parents Associations of Mallorca (FAPA).

The idea
This activity aims to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis among students from 6 to 9 years of age, as well as to promote healthy habits and values such as friendship and helping the person who needs it most.
The generations of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s grew up with catchy songs like “Vamos a la cama, que hay que descansar”, by the Tellerín family, or the songs of the Aragón family, better known as “los payasos de la tele“.
These examples have served as inspiration for the Respiralia Group to create a catchy song that teaches new generations healthy habits, so that they grow up with them and can contribute to the reduction of the transmission of contagious diseases and diseases caused by poor diet or vices such as smoking, drinking or taking drugs.
Respiralio’s suitcase
This is a metaphor, since, more than a physical suitcase, it is what we should incorporate into our daily routine to lead a healthy life.
In this song, in addition to a healthy diet, outdoor activities are promoted, away from the couch and the screens that are doing so much harm nowadays.
Joan Muntaner, Mallorcan singer-songwriter
For this project, we have counted on Joan Muntaner, a Majorcan singer-songwriter best known for being the singer of the group Xanguito.
His training in a circus school and his strength and expressiveness when he sings were the reasons for his choice.
Mariola Comas, creadora del videoclip
Mariola Comas, a 3D animation student at the Center for Training, Innovation and Development of Professional Training in Barcelona, created the video clip of the song as an internship project after 416 hours of work.
Project developed thanks to Vertex Pharmaceuticals
Vertex Pharmaceuticals is the main sponsor of the project “PrevAction: Get active in healthy habits” that the Respiralia Foundation carries out in schools, which has reached more that 5,600 students.
